Gadget fail again
January 12, 2011 | 8:31 pmGuess what? The toys have let me down again. My Garmin to be precise.
I have taken to swimming with it as it helps me count how many lengths I have done. I am forever loosing count when I do it unaided. I mean who counts to 50 these days anyway!!! So at the end of every two lengths ie when I get back to where I started, I hit the lap button on the watch and it keeps count for me.
This morning however didn’t go quite to plan…
As I hit stop on the watch after my last length, I glanced at the time and saw it was just under 33 mins, 32m58s I think, but I can’t be sure as I was mainly focusing on breathing!!! The normal thing after each training session is to then press and hold the lap button for 3 seconds to reset it and store the data.
As I did this, the screen went blank and the watch turned itself off….. aaaarrrrgghhh!! Lost my data. Grrr.
So I think the info below about this mornings swim is accurate, but I had to do it manually. So who knows!!!
