Running a Marathon for Diabetes UK
March 27, 2012 | 5:53 amBear with me on this one…. You’ll see the point in a sec!
Samuel’s Godfather Jason is an old friend of mine who I’ve known since my University days at Brunel Uni in late 80’s!
His wife Alice emailed me this week about a friend of hers who is running the London Marathon this year! His name is Nick Silvester and he lost his Dad last year to Diabetes, so he’s looking for sponsorship to support his huge effort in running 26.2 miles!
I said we’d get there in the end!
I’ve never met Nick. But I have done a bit of running! The furthest I’ve ever done in one go is just over 7 miles, some I am always filled with admiration for anyone who is prepared to run further… especially the magic figure of 26.2 miles!
The link to his site is here
I will try and get some more details about him in the next few weeks.
In the meantime, you know the drill…!!!!
