Tempting fate
June 17, 2011 | 8:54 amI’m not superstitious and I don’t believe in fate.
But I tweeted on Wednesday how well Samuel was doing with his Blood Glucose (bG) levels this week, which happens to be Diabetes Week as well.
In case your not a Twitter fan and you missed my tweet, I simply noted that Samuel had gone to bed on Wednesday night at 5.4 and woken up at 5.6. Pretty much near perfect. Certainly the best night we have had since his diagnosis.
I was clearly tempting fate.
Move on 24 hours and last night was the complete opposite. He went to bed at 10 o’clock and was over 10. He then climbed to 11.5 at 11.30 before dropping back below 10 at 1.30am this morning. By the time I checked him at 5.30, he was back down to 7.1!
I blame myself.
On the plus side, as I was up at 5.30, I went for a ride with Richard & John and was back by 7. That’s another 15 miles deposited in the training bank!
