A surprise caller

The doorbell at Curesam Towers rang earlier tonight from a surprise caller, who came with a huge boost to our fundraising efforts for Diabetes UK.

Stuart Allen is not a man I have met before but one who came with a very pleasant surprise. He is the treasurer for Tickhill & District Lions. I wrote to them a couple of weeks ago about my fundraising efforts and they considered my request for help at their meeting last night.

And here was Stuart on our doorstep, to write us a cheque.

Brilliant.

WOW – How amazing is that?

Stuart explained that this is just the sort of local cause they like to support, and I would like to say a huge thank you to all the Tickhill & District Lions.

This will take our total so far over the £1450 mark, with another ASDA collection day still to come!
